A message from our founder...

My name is Eddy and I have been empowering children as an Occupational Therapist towards independence since 2013. In addition to being a board-certified pediatric Occupational Therapist, I am a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and a Therapeutic Listening provider. As I am bilingual in Spanish, I provide services in both languages. In my career, I have been blessed to work with a wide range of pediatric populations in various settings, including preschools, public schools, an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, a skilled nursing facility, home care, and telehealth.

In regards to my experience in Assistive Technology, I have had the pleasure to evaluate and assist with the implementation of AT with students of various ages ranging from preschool to high-school. As a result of my experiences, I have developed a passion for enabling children to be as independent as possible and helping them discover their inner abilities and hidden potential. There is nothing more precious than witnessing a child succeed at a task that they previously deemed impossible.

As a Therapeutic Listening provider, I have been honored to be apart of life-changing stories for children with auditory sensitivity.  With experience using Therapeutic Listening  with preschool students through the school-age population, I have witnessed truly rewarding outcomes. For example, following Therapeutic Listening interventions in conjunction with other therapeutic approaches,  most children demonstrated improved tolerance to the sounds that they once before would respond to by crying, holding their ears, and/or avoiding participation where the sound was present. These improvements allowed the children to once again or for the first time participate in age-appropriate activities, including school events that were previously not possible.

Thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to supporting your child to become more independent and feel empowered!
